Below is a link to my Life Cycle of a Star story:

http://discovermagazine.com/2011/dec/02-computer-program-draws-realistic-exoplanets

This article is about a software that transforms a constellation of data points into a realistic planetary portrait. They can use this software to see what another planet looks like. The program is called Scientific Exoplanet Renderer, or SER. It takes in observational information about the planet and its parent star, crunches the numbers in various physical models, and spits out an approximate likeness. It can visualize a planet and its atmosphere.I think this is cool because they never had anything to ever do something like this before.

http://www.astronomy.com/News-Observing/News/2011/10/Planets%20smashed%20into%20dust%20near%20supermassive%20black%20holes.aspx

This article is about dust shrouds that obscure about half of supermassive black holes could be the result of high-speed crashes between planets and asteroids. Supermassive black holes reside in the central parts of most galaxies. The new theory is inspired by our solar system, where the so-called zodiacal dust is known to originate from collisions between solid bodies such as asteroids and comets. The scientists propose that the central regions of galaxies contain not only black holes and stars but also planets and asteroids. I think that its true because anything can be sucked into a black hole, who knows whats in there. Maybe the matching sock that I've been looking for is there.

This article talks about astronomers finding direct evidence of a so-called circumbinary planet. Astronomers have found the binary star system by detecting a system where the stars eclipsed each other from the perspective of the Kepler spacecraft. Cirumbinary stars have two eclipses: A primary eclipse when the larger star is partially blocked by the smaller star and a secondary eclipse where the smaller star is fully blocked by the larger star. I don't know what to think about this article, it just seem cool.

http://sienda.org/worlds-most-powerful-millimetersubmillimeter
This article is about a telescope that can see the universe that cannot be seen at all by visible-light and infrared telescopes. They observe the universe in light with millimeter and submillimeter wavelength. Using these longer wavelengths allows astronomers to study extremely cold objects in space. They can see dense clouds of cosmic dust and gas from which stars and planets form. I believe this is really interesting. I would love to see things like this. For someone to be able to make something like this really excites me.

http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2011/12/05/nasa-space-telescope-discovers-another-earth/

This article is about an 2nd Earth!!!! Cool right? They talk about how they have found a planet so similar to Earth that there could be alien life. They say that with the temperature it could have liquid water. They called the planet Kepler-22b. There's not a lot of info of this article , but its very interesting. I would love to find out that there's is life on another planet. Maybe they could come here or we could go there and meet them!

http://www.space.com/13991-alien-planet-discoveries-kepler-earth-twin.html
This article is about another alien planet or maybe its the same one ? I don't know . It says that there is a planet that could possibly have alien life. That gets my mind wondering , maybe there is life on other planets that we really do know about. That would be weird. What if someone walking this Earth is from another planet and we dont even know,

http://www.space.com/14178-doomsday-clock-moves.html

This article talks about Doomsday. Because of all the " End of the World " talk this article really jumped out at me. No one knows the day or time the Earth will end, but the predictions really get people hype. The clock is a symbol of imminent apocalypse . Since 1947 it has been standing at six minutes to midnight. Scientist will announce if they will move the hand towards midnight or if they will move it backwards to make people feel more safe. I feel a little wishy washy about this article. I dont see how if they think that if they move the hand towards midnight that the world will end. Thats just crazy, no sense at all .

http://www.space.com/14173-venus-transit-sun-2012-aas219.html

This article is about Venus coming between the Earth and the Sun and us being able to see it. Venus will cross the solar disk and appear as a small dark dot on the Sun. This wont happen until 2117. Thats a longgg time from now . I dont even think that people would even be able to see it when it does happen . Maybe they will take pictures , but to me it will look just like a sunspot and no one will be able to tell the difference.

http://www.space.com/14122-ancient-russian-meteorite-quasicrystal.html
This article is about a rock made of a type of crystal never before seen found outside of a laboratory. They say that the rock is a meteorite from years ago. Its supposed to be a rock that came from the inside of the Earth. The rock resembles what is found in so-called carbonaceous chondrites. Thats cool that something from the inside of the Earth could be found on surface. What else could be on here?

http://www.space.com/14142-earth-closest-approach-sun-perihelion.html

This article is about the Earth being closer to the Sun than it has ever been. When the Earth is close to the sun its called perihelion. But this time it will be like the Sun is reallllllyyy close. Me bein dramatic I would think the world is coming to an end ! I wonder if it would be really hot? It didnt say anything in the article about the heat. In January the sun can appear to shine about 7 percent more intensely than it does in July during aphelion.
